Bariatric Surgery- Practical advice to GPs looking after bariatric patients

Description

Obesity affects nearly 2 in 3 Australians, including up to 1 in 4 children. GPs are the gatekeepers of these patients and are closely involved in the monitoring and managment of these patients in the community. Dr Kuzinkovas will share guideline-based assessments and identify therapeutic agents to use prior to referral for surgical consideration. Finally, Dr Kuzinkovas will outline clinical scenarios when patients are to be referred back to the Bariatric surgeon for review.
