Menstrual Irregularities

Description

This course is structured into one comprehensive unit that covers three key menstrual irregularities:

Heavy Menstrual Bleeding: Participants will explore the PALM-COEIN classification, which helps diagnose causes of abnormal uterine bleeding, from polyps and adenomyosis to coagulopathies and iatrogenic factors. Management strategies include pharmaceutical options like NSAIDs and hormonal therapies.

Dysmenorrhea: This section distinguishes between primary and secondary dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea is managed with NSAIDs and hormonal contraceptives, while secondary dysmenorrhea may indicate underlying conditions like endometriosis.

This course provides essential knowledge for healthcare professionals to effectively diagnose and treat menstrual disorders in clinical practice.
