Updates in the management of inflammatory bowel disease: A Growing Problem

Description

Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) are becoming an increasingly more common presentation in many General Practices. Despite the increased presentations, diagnosis delays persist with this patient cohort. Delayed diagnosis often results in increased symptoms and has a significant impact on the quality of life for many patients.

Join Gastroenterologist Dr Aviv Pudipeddi as he shares an update related to the prompt diagnosis and management of these complex patients.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Review the incidence and prevalence of IBD in Australia
  2. Discuss the use of immunotherapy and other treatments to manage IBD
  3. Review the role of the GP in the long-term management of IBD in the community.
