In this presentation, Associate Professor Suzi Nou reflects on the legacy of four female presidents at the ASA - Dr Mary Burnell (1953-1954), Dr Margaret (Gretta) McClelland OBE (1964-1965), Dr Patricia Mackay OAM (1966-1968), and Dr Elizabeth Feeney (2008-2010) - and how their leadership brought significant changes to the organisation and the specialty, including strengthening clinical standards, advocating for education and training, and ensuring the profession's ongoing relevance.
