Replanting the Birthing Trees: Supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and children in the first 2,000 days

Description

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women are cared for by a range of health professionals during pregnancy, including GPs. Throughout this course practitioners will consider the cultural considerations that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families for the first 2000 days and look at what the research tells us in the context and knowledge from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of doing, being and knowing.

This course facilitates critical reflection to improve practice in relation to:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander approaches to health
