 The NCSP bundle is a series of five evidence-based eLearning modules designed to support health professionals in delivering high-quality cervical screening care. Developed by the Australian Centre for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer (ACPCC) in collaboration with the Department of Health, these modules are suitable for GPs, nurses, and other healthcare providers interested in cancer screening. 

Module 4 provides healthcare providers with an opportunity to reinforce their knowledge around the key steps involved in cervical screening including self-collected and clinician collected options. On completion of this module, healthcare providers will be able to effectively overcome common barriers to cervical screening, communicate the cervical screening options with their patients, have an increased understanding of the screening procedure, and efficiently document the consultation and cervical screening test.

Learning Outcomes

1. Identify strategies to improve patient psychological and physical comfort during cervical screening
2. Identify best practice procedure for collecting a cervical sample
3. Recall the steps for collecting a self-collected sample as outlined in the National Cervical Screening Program Guidelines
4. Identify the indications for a clinician-collected cervical sample based on the National Cervical Screening Program Guidelines.
