The NCSP bundle is a series of five evidence-based eLearning modules designed to support health professionals in delivering high-quality cervical screening care. Developed by the Australian Centre for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer (ACPCC) in collaboration with the Department of Health, these modules are suitable for GPs, nurses, and other healthcare providers interested in cancer screening. 

Module 5 provides healthcare providers with an overview of the cervical screening management pathway under the National Cervical Screening Program (NCSP) and recommendations from the 2025 updated National Cervical Screening Program Guidelines. Throughout this module, healthcare providers will be able to reinforce their knowledge around communicating test results and patient follow-up under the NCSP, including identifying the role of colposcopy and treatment options for patients with cervical abnormalities.

Learning Outcomes

1. Apply the National Cervical Screening Program Guidelines for cervical screening management pathways
2. Identify the role of colposcopy and treatment options for those with cervical abnormalities
3. Identify the range of pathology test results that may be reported following a Cervical Screening Test and subsequent follow-up guidelines
4. List effective communication techniques that will assist patients in understanding their Cervical Screening Test options and results.
