- Describe the current clinical significance of long COVID and identify patients at increased risk of persistent symptoms
- Apply practical prevention and early-intervention strategies, including vaccination considerations, rapid diagnosis and appropriate antiviral use
- Recognise common long COVID symptom clusters and distinguish them from alternative or co-existing respiratory, cardiac, psychological, sleep and inflammatory conditions
- Identify red flags and select appropriate investigations, escalation pathways and referrals for patients with persistent post-COVID symptoms
- Develop an individualised, patient-centred management plan incorporating treatable traits, reassurance, pacing, functional recovery, return-to-work planning, psychological support and multidisciplinary care
- Evaluate current practice through structured reflection and patient review, identifying opportunities to improve the recognition, assessment and management of long COVID.
