Artificial Intelligence is not new; it was first proposed by Alan Turing in 1936 (Da Silva et al., 2024). AI slowly evolved over the coming decades and gradually entered everyday life. It helped us predict text as we typed and create routes on maps to get us to our destination by the quickest route. Then, in 2023, the first open-source generative AI tool was released to the public, and the way we interacted with computers changed.  

The introduction of OpenAI in 2023 saw a revolution of innovation and a significant technological advance. In healthcare, AI has developed applications in medical imaging and diagnostics, virtual patient care, medical research and drug discovery, patient engagement and compliance, rehabilitation, and many administrative applications (Ahmed Al et al., 2023).
