Dermatology Mini Audit e-Learning seminar

Description

Every year in Australia skin cancer accounts for around 80% of all newly diagnosed cancers and GPs have more than 1 million patient consultations per year for skin cancer. The incidence of skin cancer in Australia is one of the highest in the world, two to three times the rates in Canada, the US and the UK. Every year doctors remove around 720,000 lesions from the skins of Australians because they are suspected skin cancers. The surgical audit is designed to assist participants to refine their diagnostic skills and enhance their surgical skills while expanding the surgical options for treatment. This is achieved by way of feedback on the participant’s diagnosis of skin lesions in their patients as well as comparative data on the best surgical treatments options. Reflecting on the participants results should build confidence in their ability to better manage patients with skin cancers requiring surgical intervention.
