This course consists of one comprehensive unit that focuses on the classification and dermoscopic patterns of melanocytic nevi. Participants will learn to identify different patterns, such as reticular, globular, cobblestone, and multicomponent patterns. The course explains how to differentiate benign congenital nevi from suspicious lesions and assess the risk of melanoma development. Special dermoscopic features, such as pigmentation distribution, perifollicular changes, and hypertrichosis, are discussed, with detailed examples provided to aid in practical diagnosis.
This course equips healthcare providers with the tools to accurately assess and manage melanocytic nevi using dermoscopy, enhancing patient outcomes in skin cancer detection and prevention.
