Led by leading PMOS and endometriosis professionals, this program will address diagnostic challenges, managing complex symptom clusters, and collaborative care pathways that enable effective multidisciplinary care and long-term management integrated into primary care workflows and routine practice.
Participants will be guided through evidence-based strategies to improve early recognition of endometriosis and practical diagnostic approaches to PMOS to reduce delayed, under- and over-diagnosis. The session will support clinicians in approaching overlapping symptoms and complex presentations, and encouraging shared decision-making practices to develop management plans that consider complex patient factors and individual preferences and goals.
Learning Outcomes
- Recognise key clinical features and presentations of PMOS and endometriosis, including less typical presentations and potential areas of diagnostic overlap
- Apply a practical diagnostic approach to menstrual irregularity, hyperandrogenism and persistent pelvic pain, including appropriate investigations and differential diagnoses
- Develop individualised management plans for PMOS and endometriosis incorporating symptom priorities, reproductive goals, lifestyle, pharmacological management and longer-term health considerations
- Identify when escalation or specialist referral is appropriate, including persistent symptoms, fertility concerns, diagnostic uncertainty and suspected complex endometriosis
- Support longitudinal care across the reproductive lifespan, recognising the broader metabolic, reproductive and quality-of-life consequences of PMOS and endometriosis.
