Learning Outcomes
- Apply current Australian guidelines to diagnose and manage common cardiovascular and respiratory conditions seen in general practice using case-based clinical decision-making
- Identify and implement evidence-based strategies for the assessment and management of diabetes and other endocrine disorders incorporating PBS and MBS updates
- Assess and manage common musculoskeletal injuries and neurological presentations using safe, effective and patient-centred approaches
- Apply practical evidence-based interventions for mood and anxiety disorders, suicide prevention and psychopharmacology within time-limited consultations
- Identify early warning signs of common cancers, outline current evidence-based screening and referral guidelines, and apply at least two updated management strategies for cancer care
- Recognise and manage at least three common paediatric presentations in primary care
- Apply current antenatal and postnatal care guidelines and integrate age-appropriate screening recommendations for female patients
- Conduct targeted preventive health assessments for male patients across the lifespan, identify early signs of male-specific conditions
- Accurately differentiate common skin conditions and apply current best-practice management for common dermatological presentations
- Diagnose and manage common ENT conditions and recognise red-flag symptoms requiring urgent intervention
- Apply updated medico-legal, regulatory and Medicare compliance requirements in everyday general practice scenarios to support safe and ethical care
- Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills to support shared decision-making and coordinated care with patients, families and other health professionals
- Demonstrate Basic Life Support skills to ANZCOR standards through supervised practice and assessment
- Complete a structured post-conference reflection and case analysis to evaluate the impact of learning on clinical practice and identify areas for ongoing improvement.
