Intrathecal drug errors - how bad is it and what to do - Dr Mark Koning

Description

In this presentation, Dr Mark Koning discusses intrathecal drug errors, emphasising that these events may still occur despite established preventative measures.  He reviews the severity of such errors, what typically happens when they occur, and the early clinical signs that signal a mistake. He also examines various easily made errors and highlights the consequences and outcomes for the patient. Finally, he presents strategies to minimise harm and reduce the severity of complications.
