ANZCCP Inaugural Conference 2024

Description

A recording of our AP Course deliver in person at our Inaugural Conference in February 2024. Designed by our expert ANZCCP founding members, the course aims to equip doctors with the required knowledge to become cannabinoid authorised prescribers with the TGA and deliver a high level of care for their patients.

It covers cannabinoid medicine principles from basics to advanced with the latest cannabinoid research dissected and our first hand experience shared giving prescribing doctors a wide range of knowledge on the topic.

Enrolment is open to Australian and New Zealand registered doctors, nurses and pharmacists. 

Goals:

To provide health care practitioners with the knowledge they require to prescribe medicinal cannabis safely and effectively

Learning Outcomes

  1. Explain the pathophysiology of the human body's endocannabinoid system
  2. Recall common constituents of cannabinoid base medications
  3. Identify current Australian TGA guidelines for the use of cannabinoid-based medicines used for common presentations
  4. Determine safety considerations in prescribing and titrating cannabinoid-based medications
  5. Summarise best practice recommendations in medication selection, dosing, and titration for cannabinoid-based treatments
  6. Describe appropriate TGA prescribing pathways and resources
  7. Identify key health professionals to collaborate with in a multidisciplinary setting to support patients
  8. Evaluate and communicate best practices for the daily administration of medicinal cannabis to patients.
