Clipping the Tricuspid Valve

Description

Heart valve disease is a common presentation in the GP community. Early detection of heart murmurs is important in identifying those at risk of heart valve disease. Tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is also a commonly under-diagnosed condition and new minimally invasive techniques are now used to repair the damaged valve and relieve symptoms.

Join Dr Jason Sharp (Interventional Cardiologist) as he discusses the prevalence and incidence of the different types of heart valve disease, its clinical impact, signs and symptoms, and identify the specific treatment options for TR.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Recall the aetiology, prevalence and prognosis of heart valve disease (HVD)
  2. Identify specific pathology and presentation related to Tricuspid regurgitation (TR)
  3. Review and discuss treatment for minimally invasive Tricuspid valve repair.
