Leadership: From Analysis to Implementation covers nine decades of leadership thinking and application in around two hours. Rather than providing a single formula for leadership, the program provides a framework to ask better questions about your own leadership and consider how different approaches may influence the people and teams around you.
For medical and healthcare professionals, leadership capability extends beyond formal management responsibilities. The ability to influence, communicate, build psychological safety, navigate change and support effective teamwork can have an important impact on how teams function within complex clinical and organisational environments. Developing a broader understanding of leadership approaches can help healthcare professionals respond more deliberately to different people, situations and organisational demands.
The program is fully evidence-based and delivered in nine sections, progressing from the theoretical foundations of leadership through to strategic implementation. Topics include leadership theories and evolution, traits and behavioural models, power and influence, emotional intelligence, psychological safety, adaptive and authentic leadership, team dynamics, followership, culture, diversity and inclusion, organisational change, and making leadership practices stick.
Built on human-centred learning principles, the program uses short, bite-sized segments, reflection and practical exercises to support application. The value gained is proportional to the honesty and thought participants bring to examining their own leadership.
This is a self-paced online program of approximately three hours, delivered across nine sections that build sequentially from the theoretical foundations of leadership through to practical implementation. The program is designed around human-centred learning principles, using short segments, reflection points and practical exercises rather than traditional lectures. For the best learning experience, participants are encouraged to work through the sections in order and allow time to reflect on how the concepts relate to their own leadership practice.
The program explores major leadership theories, behavioural models, influence, emotional intelligence, psychological safety, adaptive and authentic leadership, team dynamics, culture, diversity, inclusion and organisational change. Participants are encouraged to examine their current leadership approach and identify opportunities for measurable behaviour change.
No prior leadership qualification or specialist knowledge is required. The program is suitable for leaders and aspiring leaders across sectors, including medical and healthcare professionals seeking to strengthen their leadership capability, communication, collaboration and ability to lead effectively within complex clinical and organisational environments.
A certificate of completion will be issued after the successful completion of the 20 question multiple-choice quiz which relates directly to the program's content.
