Men's Health Seminar - SA

Description

This seminar will support GPs to confidently interpret commonly requested pathology tests in men’s health, including liver fibrosis markers, haematology results and STI screening. Participants will develop practical skills to apply these findings in diagnosis, management and referral decisions within everyday general practice.


Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify patients at risk of liver fibrosis and apply diagnostic tools, including biomarkers and FIB-4, to inform management in general practice
  2. Identify evidence-based treatment and monitoring options for osteoporosis in men
  3. Interpret abnormal haematology results, select appropriate investigations and apply management pathways for common non-malignant haematological conditions in men in general practice
  4. Identify at-risk patients and apply appropriate screening, referral pathways and interpretation of pathology findings in the management of pancreatic and prostate conditions
  5. Identify at-risk men, select and interpret appropriate STI tests and apply evidence-based management in general practice.
