Description

Over two highly-interactive days, delegates will hear from leaders across Sonic Clinical Services and its divisions, as well as keynote addresses from Sonic Healthcare Chief Executive Officer, Dr Jim Newcombe; Sonic Healthcare Chief Culture Officer, Virginia Re; Skin Check Champions Founder, Scott Maggs; and Medcast Medical Director, A/Prof Stephen Barnett.

There will be three dedicated streams on General Practice, Occupational Health and Skin Health, offering GPs the opportunity to update and expand their knowledge in key areas of contemporary practice. The program is designed to equip delegates with practical, evidence-based strategies and clinical insights that can be readily applied to everyday patient care and practice improvement.


Learning Outcomes

  1. Apply contemporary evidence and clinical guidelines to improve the assessment, prevention and management of conditions commonly encountered in clinical practice
  2. Outline emerging developments in screening, diagnostics, technology and healthcare delivery and incorporate relevant advances into clinical practice
  3. Identify medicolegal, occupational and patient safety considerations and implement strategies to support high-quality, person-centred care
  4. Integrate practical knowledge across preventive health, chronic disease management, skin cancer care and women's health to improve patient outcomes
  5. Implement practical strategies to support wellbeing and resilience, maintain optimism during periods of change.
