Sexual Health Seminar - NSW

Description

This educational activity will enhance participants’ knowledge and confidence in managing sexual and reproductive health presentations commonly encountered in Australian general practice. Through evidence-based updates, GPs will strengthen their skills in diagnosis, screening, fertility assessment, interpretation of pathology results, preventive care, and the patient-centred management of sexually transmitted infections, abnormal screening findings, and other reproductive health concerns.


Learning Outcomes

  1. Develop competency in the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of sexually transmitted infections in general practice
  2. Implement skills in the interpretation of pathology results to support accurate diagnosis and evidence-based patient management
  3. Recall evidence-based cancer prevention and screening programs to support early detection and improved patient outcomes
  4. Apply competency in the assessment and initial management of fertility concerns in general practice
  5. Strengthen understanding of inclusive healthcare practices to improve access, engagement, and health outcomes.
